Web brochures can range from the
standard 7-10 pages, to midsize 10-35 or extend to high-end with
multiple levels of navigation, images and content.

Kat Fact: I'm
also
an RN and really enjoy constructing and architecting
the
medical sites. Just as nursing
is an art and science, so too is
website development.

Here are some of my favorite "works
of web" listed most recent and ending with a couple from a few years
back. Sometimes sites get dated but sometimes they
turn out to be timeless classics.
My main goal is to try and convey
your personal style online in a clean, easy and professional manner.
I'm a stickler for detail. I won't tolerate scripting errors, broken
images or file 404's. For the most part, I do try and develop
for staying power...(at least 5 years). which is pretty darn good in
website years. On the occasion that they do end up like
last year's fashion hanging in the back of your closet...well,
that's where
Maintenance 101 comes back into play!

Junction Gallery in the Metro
Centre is an example of a high-end website by Kat. It has
over 95 pages of content and images and sports multiple
categories of art, information and tiers of navigation. A
professional
copywriter was secured to get the client's
complete message across. This type of website is probably
the hardest on the client because of all the materials
required...and it goes without saying, it takes a little longer
to get it up and running than the standard size I promote
throughout this website...But hey, If you're up for the
challenge then I'm ready when you are! The good news is
Junction Gallery is up and running in time for the busy holiday
season. Will you be? |

Lacon Chamber of Commerce:
I have just finished up with this site that originally had been
done by the local computer class. (See
Make Me Over
for the before shots.) The photography for this site really
added visual appeal and again, I worked fast and well with the
Chamber Officers in charge of the project. As sort of an honorary
Chamber member, I am updating their site in lieu of website
advertising. You can get a perfect idea of what a
standard 7-10 page website entails. Professional, yet easy on
the eyes and the mouse.

Mission Oak Inn:
This client and I were in
such amazing synch with
photos, content and approvals flying back and forth that this
website was accomplished in just 14 days. There are landing
pages with sub-categories and new sections have been added since
their initial launch in winter of '06. Their website is working
very well for them and I have also received many referrals from
it's success. I also continue to maintain their site. |

Power Enclosures:
This client handed me some brochures and a
pre-designed logo with instructions to duplicate the hardcopy
brochure
online as fast as I could. Because I was able to work off
of an existing brochure and had photos on a disc, this website
was also built in record time. |

Arrowhead
Country Club: This pro bono site a few years old but still a
classic and attracts a lot of visitors. I taught the club
manager to update and maintain a few portions of the website. I
created templates when I built the site and spent time on tutoring her to update the Newsletter, Calendar and Pro-Shop
news sections on a regular basis. Plus, I'm always available to her if she
needs me for the big stuff. |

St. Joseph Nursing Home:
This website came naturally because I was employed there at the
time of development. (See
Kat Fact)
Although it's not maintained by me anymore, they've really only
altered one page (events) and the site still translates the
Sister's mission very well. |

ACPM Podiatry Group LTD:
Again with the RN thing! I used my medical background to
research the information for the "Happy Feet" section. This site
was originally developed in 2001 and I just added a new
physician to reflect their growth. |

Advanced Counseling Center: Here's
an example of a long distance work project. I'm in
Illinois and the client is in Arizona. Working this way via
e-mails, snail mails and telephone calls worked out so much
better than we thought! The client had a level of html
understanding and is able to update his own pages without
altering the original model.

| So, now
you're thinking to yourself...."Self, I like Kat's style, but I need to know how much it's going cost me!"
(Come on...admit it, that's what you've been thinking
isn't it? Well,
lets just go see about.... |
